Was noticing that the 96-97 Flair Kobe Row 2 is higher value than Row 1? Is that really the case? It seems as though the other cards in that year the Row 1 is almost double the price of Row 2 but Beckett currently shows Row 2 at $600 and Row 1 at $500. Can anyone shed light on why that might be, or is that a typo?

It might be as simple as Row 2 is listed as a RC while Row 1 is simply a rookie year card.

That must be it, yeah.
Row 2 is the most common, but the only one considered a "RC".
Rows 1 and 0 are rarer, but not considered RCs.

There are just some serious inconsistencies with pricing, which I'd doubt are from the market as they would just adjust themselves. More likely some entry or timing delay or error. For instance:
2018 Topps Update Ohtani RC $30, Gold #/2018 $100
2019 Topps Update Guerrero RC $15, Gold #/2019 $200
2020 Topps Update Arozarena RC $12, Gold #/2020 $50
Just at a glance, most likely, the Guerrero Gold is significantly overvalued, and the Ohtani Gold somewhat undervalued.
If we just compare the general multiplier for RCs in each year, in 2018, the multiplier is 3x; in 2019, the multiplier is 2x; in 2020, the multiplier is 2.5x. This would put the Ohtani Gold at $90 (rounds to $100, the way Beckett lists prices, if you've ever studied the price values that are listed), the Arozarena Gold at $30, and the Guerrero Gold also at $30. (If you have a Guerrero Gold, sell it if you can find someone who will pay even $100 for it!)
I've seen the same thing with Basketball, especially in Panini products (check out the 2018-19 Prizm basketball parallel prices for instance). It's usually just stale data (since parallels have a smaller supply, and therefore a smaller number of transactions). At one point, the Lebron parallels in one of the Prizm basketball years were significantly higher than all the other players, but then I noticed they suddenly dropped to the same multiplier as everyone else as the available transactions caught up (the base card values did NOT change in that period).
There was one player in baseball whose cards were all listed at 5c, even the common inserts, about a year ago by some kind of mistake (Adbert Alzolay). They corrected that one, and the numbers are consistent with other players in the same set.
In short - if you think a card is undervalued, buy it; if you think it's overvalued, sell it. Sounds like a great time to pick up Kobe Row 1 and Row 0 cards!
