I actually realized that the reason why I don't trade is that when I was young I traded some baseball and football cards with friends in the neighborhood and the next day regretted making the trades and thought that I should have just kept the cards I traded because they were better than the cards  I got.

Of course, it was 1980s football and baseball so it's pretty much all bad now.
