I would really appreciate some insight into this question as I am pretty frustrated with Beckett. Don't get me started on turnaround times or pricing so I am going to limit this question to grading.
I have two cards in the last year that were sent for grading. One came back as Altered and the other was a 5. Both cards are clean with sharp edges and not scuffs or scratches. I had an ex-Beckett grader who now owns a shop in Tennessee look at both of these cards and he says he can't find the "alteration" and the one graded a 5 is just outrageous. It takes a bit of time, money and patience to get these cards graded. It really sucks to get them back without any details or comments on why they were graded the way they were. And Beckett doesn't have a method of disputing such an obvious error. I get that this would be opening a pandora's box of issues, but I am really frustrated with what I can clearly see is an error and no accountability with Beckett. Any thoughts?
