Question for Bay sellers?
#1

Question for Bay sellers?
How much time is enough to give a buyer time to pay before I report them as non payers? New to selling on the bay.

1.) - I sold a BIN and it's been 3 days. I sort of feel if you BIN, then you should pay for it then. Is this the right line of thinking as a seller?

2.) - I also have a buyer that won an auction on Saturday night, still no payment.

I've sent some messages their way saying I'm already to ship kinda thing, no responses from either.

Any thoughts on my next step? or should i give them more time?

Thanks guys!!!

RE: Question for Bay sellers?
I report as soon as it allows unless they message me a certain situation "pay day etc".

As a rule of thumb? Also, I've seen sellers state in their listings that will wait up to 7 days. I didn't specify any time range, I think I will from now on though. Thanks Chad!

I'm sure I can find it if I look through the TOS on the bay, but do you know off hand how soon they allow? I'm not getting any responses from them, so to me, they're not paying.

I try to be as understanding as possible with buyers. All my auctions state afer 7 days ill file non payment. I think a week is enough time. But it does frustrate me when BIN is hit without immediate payment

I'm SUPER easy to work with. I'd even give them a month to pay if they would just ask. But the no response is what's getting to me.

As for the BIN, I'm starting to think he just did it to take my listing down because it beat all the other listings for the same card in price, by a long shot.

BTW - I didn't forget about the refractors I need to send your way, just busy with other stuff lately, i.e. this, lol. Smile

I only do BIN and only except immediate payment, unpaid assistant is min 4 days then 8 and I think 15. Yes if they hit the BIN they should pay for it immediately, if you don't have the money then don't hit the button.

Exactly, it's like shopping w/o money, putting it lay away w/o getting approval first... Bummer, have to wait at least 1 more day, huh? I wanna get these sucka's!

All of my auctions state that payments must be received with 48 hours or a non-payment claim will be made. I feel that if you don't have the money you shouldn't bid, every auction I win is paid within 10 minutes

If you state the 48 hours deadline, does the Bay let you open a case before the 4 days onemanstanding stated?
