Is this a rarity? Bowman printing error?
I was about to send this bad boy to BGS but then I noticed that the writing on the front was all backwards...
What's going on with my 2010 Bowman Sterling Purple Madison Bumgarner # 7/10?
Possible increase in value?

The fact that it's /10 makes it pretty rare all by itself. Also, I can't say that I've seen the reverse (negative) printing error very often. If it was a base card, I'd say there's no value added (and perhaps lost). In this case, I definitely think it adds a little extra interest. I'd say go ahead and grade it and throw it up for auction.

all the purple sterling ref. in '10 were reversed like that.

That's just messed up, you mean not one person at Topps (execs, salesman, floor workers, printers etc...) looked at one of these cards? Seeing that it is a set /10, then I would assume that not one card printed by Topps is ever viewed before it gets sealed in a pack. Really not one quality control person??

the purples were suppose to be reversed as far as I know they did it in multiple sets--- maybe it started out as an accident the first time haha

To do that, reverse all of the colors, it had to be intentional Maybe a SP or something?
