This is why you always check Heritage codes.....

This is why you always check Heritage codes.....
Went to Walmart and bought a blaster and hanger pack. Nothing amazing until I went back through the cards checking each one on the back, looking at the code specifilcally for SP's or Variations (that are so hard to spot without knowing what you are looking for).

The Judge card I got had a different code on the back then the rest, but when I looked at the front I didn't notice anything different. Well I hoped online did some research and turns out this is a Rookie Cup Variation (it says 1969 not 2017 on the cup).

For Trade and in my org if interested.

I guess if I saved used tinfoil and used tea bags instead of old comic books and old baseball cards, the difference between a crazed hoarder and a savvy collector is in that inherent value.

This is why I always go through dime and quarter boxes checking the Topps codes on base cards. I have found more than a few variations and SPs over the past few year for a quarter or less this way.
Collecting John Stockton, Karl Malone, Ivan Rodriguez, Gary Carter & UF player rookie year cards.  Plus Jedd Gyorko rookie and prospect cards.

I was pretty excited to find the value of it. This makes checking the codes fun!

That's a great idea! Don't know if my local card store has that though, but great idea!
