Forty-two NFL prospects will be gathering together in Los Angeles from May 19-21 for the 2022 NFLPA Rookie Premiere. There they will learn about the business of football, put on their new jerseys for the first time and help gather content that collectors will be chasing throughout the 2022 football card season.

Photos will be taken by Panini reps, autographs will be signed and memorabilia will be worn, used and gathered.

Rookie Premiere participants are typically those deemed to have the most potential in the hobby and overall marketability. These are often the key players in football card products who Panini designates as RPS players — the ones who more frequently have rookie patch autographs instead of just autographs or on-card signatures versus stickers.

This means a heavy presence of offensive position players. The 2022 NFLPA Rookie Premiere lineup includes seven quarterbacks, 10 running backs and 20 wide receivers. So all but five participants are from one of those three positions.

So who will be the headliners heading into the 2022 football card season? Here’s who’s heading to the 2022 Rookie Premiere.

No Derek Stingley, CB, 3rd Overall Pick.
No Kayvon Thibodeaux, DE, 5th Overall Pick.

But Panini can fit in undrafted Carson Strong to add to the long line of wasteful QB greats such as James Morgan and Kyle Lauletta.
