The 1992-93 Hornets Hive Five set consists of five numbered Charlotte Hornets player cards with matching lapel pins, and six game cards. The 1992-93 Hornets Hive Five set consists of five numbered Charlotte Hornets player cards with matching lapel pins, and six game cards. The five player cards were available through Fast Fare convenience stores and Crown gasoline stations in North Carolina, South Carolina, and Georgia. The game cards were distributed free to customers and consisted of five Charlotte Hornet Honeybee Cheerleaders and one mascot card (Hugo the Hornet). The player cards measure approximately 2 1/2" by 5 1/8". The fronts feature color action player photos with the set title, "The Hive Five", printed above the picture. On a border below the photo appears the player's name and team number. Below the border is the team logo and sponsors' logos. The back displays a player head shot with biography listed vertically along the left edge. The cards are numbered on the back. The six game cards measure approximately 2" by 4". The fronts carry a portrait of the cheerleaders bordered by the words "Charlotte Honey Bees" above and below with an outer border. The bottom section of the card contains three scratch-off basketball designs with the possiblity to win a prize by matching two prizes.
