Goldschmidt prices make no sense

Goldschmidt prices make no sense
Ok so Paul Goldschmidt is tearing up the NL and is one of the hottest players in baseball right now yet his cards are still way under priced in the beckett. Not only that he had a very good year last year. The bowman platinum in my sig is a 50.00 card, some other players exact same card go for the following

Trout - 350.00
Patrick Corbin (The one who raised my eyes to this cause I have it) - 200.00
Aroldis Chapman - 80.00
Freddie Freeman - 60.00
Miguel Sano - 100.00

Nothing against these players they are all good but shouldn't Goldy be closer to the Trout and Corbin range??? I love Corbin don't get me wrong but his stuff is crazy right now and he hasn't really earned it yet. Sorry just had to rant lol the Corbin hike in pricing while Goldy has sat still is mind boggling to me just makes zero sense.

We all know that pricing isn't updated frequently, esp. if there isn't a bunch of movement in a particular player and thier cards. I use BV for only trading purposes of low dollar base ect. Higher dollar stuff try to get/find out a realistic market price. (not that I ever have anything LOL)

Don't be upset...use it to your advantage!

values arent based on stats

fact is: not a ton of dback fans outside of arizona, so not a lot of attention paid to him. if he were a yankee, or an angel, or even a brave, his values would rise significantly
put it this way: im a high volume seller

i get requests for teams and players all the time. ive had requests for almost every baseball team, except for the marlins and dbacks. and i have never had a request for goldscmidt

My guess is that the "Hype Train" left Goldy and is now at Corbin. It's kinda amazing how fickle the card world can be. Kinda like, "forget about Trout... onto this guy named Puig!!!"

Yeah your right, well all of you are but I see what your saying. The dbacks haven't been around long enough to garner much attention nationally as a lot of teams haven't. Mark me down for Goldschmidt then!

Yeah love how Trout and Harper have almost disappeared from the scene lately

The only ones that can get his value up is..well us.. People who trade, buy, sell, watch and want.
Looking to complete the 2013 Archives Mets fan favorite Au's (Just need Ron Darling) and 2014 Topps Gypsy Queen set mini base + SPs. Also working on 2015 Topps Chrome and updates. Please note that if you have less than 15 trades, I ask that you send first.

Be happy. Just over a year ago I was stealing Miggy cards but now I've got to pay. Dude had to win a triple crown just to get respect. This is even the first year he's been elected to start in the all star game. So all Goldy has to do is win the TC.

RE: Goldschmidt prices make no sense
There isn't a ton in this hobby that actually makes sense. I agree that, when considering performance, his prices are lower than where they ought to be but it's like anything else in this economy, performance isn't the primary driver for value, demand is. You would think demand would be driven by performance but that isn't always the case.

I think his prices will go up after an MVP season (perhaps this one). I love Goldschmidt and think it's great that his prices are low.

It's all about the market baby. Supply and DEMAND.
