The 1996-97 Pinnacle Mint set was issued in one series totaling 30 cards and was distributed in packs of three cards and two coins for a suggested retail price of $3.99. The challenge was to fit the coins with the die-cut cards that pictured the same player on the minted coin. The fronts feature color action player images on a sepia player portrait background with a cut-out area for the matching coin. Eric Lindros was featured on two promo cards, issued to dealers along with their ordering forms.
