A 1952 Topps Willie Mays graded PSA 9 has found its way to eBay. And with several days remaining, it has already topped $150,000.

But if recent sales are any indication, the final price should end up much, much higher.

Available through PWCC Auctions, it is one of nine 1952 Topps Willie Mays cards to get the straight Mint 9 grade from PSA. Four additional cards received a 9 but with qualifiers.

In 2016, three PSA 9 1952 Topps Willie Mays cards were sold on the open market, all though Heritage Auctions. In May, one went for $478,000. The other sales were for $382,400 in August and $310,700 in November.

PWCC’s auction closes on Monday, March 13.

I always wonder how one can safely do large value transactions like this if you are a private individual instead of a business. Businesses can have their own credit card processors which is safer for them to use than paypal or the like.

First, I need $478,000 lying around that I don’t really need for anything. Then I’ll likely know the answer to your question, Richard.
