1984 Topps Gallery of Champions Baseball Checklist and Details
1984 Topps Gallery of Champions Baseball (also referred to as Gallery of Immortals) not only shrinks the cards of a dozen top stars, but it casts them in metal as well.
Rooted in the 1984 Topps Baseball design, it came packaged as a factory box set, complete with red velvet lining. It was meant to be a premium release. Understandably, the presentation matches that idea.
Willie Mays, Joe Garagiola and Dick Young picked the players. The checklist represents the very best active players at the time, looking at things through a career lens. As a result, virtually every player in the 12-card set has gone on to Cooperstown induction.
Cards are much smaller than traditional baseball cards, measuring 1 1/4″ by 1 3/4″. Standard versions are cast in bronze. Both the fronts and backs of the players’ 1984 Topps cards are recreated with the metal. Given the material and smaller size, it shouldn’t be surprising that details aren’t exact. Think more Han Solo in carbonite at the end of The Empire Strikes Back.
Box sets also include a certificate of authenticity.
A Silver release was available separately. Done with sterling silver, there are just of these 1,000 sets.
A similar Darryl Strawberry bronze mini card is also in circulation. However, it’s not part of this Gallery of Champions release. Rather, it’s a premium given to dealers for ordering a case of 1984 Topps Traded Baseball.

I don’t know much on Baseball or football. I would appreciate it if you can send me a current pricing list. I know that I have a couple of Expos in the collaboration of cards I have, if you are willing to help a none collector out with all the cards I have come to purchase at a rummage sale. I have cards on football, baseball, and basketball you may have the expose. I have in my possession. I need to get in touch with one that wants stamp both full sets and individuals. The stamps are on the first 4 presidents.
