2015 Topps Allen and Ginter Baseball National Die-Cut Kris Bryant

By Ryan Cracknell | Hobby Editor

One of the most popular exclusives at this year’s National were the 2015 Topps Allen & Ginter National Die-Cuts.

Given to collectors who brought a sealed box of 2015 Topps Allen & Ginter Baseball to the company’s booth, the cards have the basic design elements with the addition of the X-shaped die-cut in honor of the brand’s tenth year. However, the checklist is very different, which is likely contributing to the set’s popularity on the secondary market. Delving beyond just baseball and a few of Ginter’s traditional quirks, the set also includes a sizable amount of football players.

When doing the redemption, collectors had the choice of whether they wanted a baseball pack (silver) or a football pack (gold). Each has five cards.

The complete set has 100 cards. The first 70 are baseball. Kris Bryant, Joc Pederson and a handful of Chicago players past and present. They’re followed by 25 football cards. Many of these are notable because they’re the first Topps cards of 2015 draft picks in their NFL uniforms.

And Ginter being Ginter, the final five slots on the checklist belong to non-athletes including Chicago landmarks Wrigley Field and the Sears Willis Tower.

All 100 of the 2015 Topps Allen & Ginter National Die-Cut cards have Tenth Anniversary parallels that are numbered to 10. Glossy versions are one-of-ones.

Autographs were also randomly inserted.

Here’s a full checklist of the base set. We’ve also noted confirmed autographs and their print runs.

We pulled a Jameis Winston auto, and it was numbered 4 out of 5. Thanks for the handy checklist.
