Topps Gave Out Exclusive Pete Alonso Autographs at Their 2019 NSCC Reception
After hours on Thursday, Topps held their annual Q&A reception at the National Sports Collectors Convention. Those in attendance got a chance to meet with several Topps staff members and ask any questions they might have. How subjects are selected for Allen & Ginter, the still-missing Wood Minis from 2018 A&G and Santa Claus were among the items brought up.
Mike Sommer of Wax Pack Hero has a summary of the questions in this Twitter thread (if you click through, you’ll see all of his tweets as they’re asked):

As things came to a close, those in attendance were given a special card made exclusively for the 2019 Topps National Convention Q&A, a Pete Alonso autograph.
There are three different cards, each numbered to 50 using 1986 Topps Baseball as inspiration. Each person in attendance got one of the cards.
It didn’t take long for some of the 2019 Topps National Convention Pete Alonso autographs to surface — and sell — on eBay.
Francisco Lindor, Ian Happ and Jose Abreu are among the other Topps Q&A reception autographs made for past shows.
Awesome giveaway … one question, did they put the Topps stickers directly on the cards?
@Randy – They’re in top loaders and the Topps sticker is on the top loader, just like a lot of redemptions.
Man-I wish they’d get him to sign his Definitive redemptions.
