The last month or so of the year means lots of holidays and festivities. So many that the weekly set of Garbage Pail Kids focused strictly on holiday — however bizarre — isn’t enough. Enter 2020 Topps Garbage Pail Kids Gross Greetings.
Unlike Bizarre Holidays, Gross Greetings is a standalone online-exclusive mini set. It has five a/b variations for ten total cards. The checklist includes no chase elements, either.
Beside the festive focus, there’s another thing that makes Gross Greetings stand out. The art is different from the typical GPK look. All of the cards are done by GPK Nik who brings a very different approach from what’s normally done.
During it’s one-week sales window, Gross Greetings was exclusive to the Topps website. It’s another print-on-demand release meaning that the print run is based on what was ordered. In this case, it was 535 sets.
