2021 Topps Finest Basketball Checklist and Details
A familiar name is back in basketball cards. 2021 Topps Finest Basketball brings back the colorful chromium brand to the sport for the first time since 2007-08.
The approach is different. It’s not an NBA-licensed release. Save for a couple of people, the checklist consists entirely of retired players.
The online-exclusive release does promise one autograph per hobby box.
2021 Topps Finest Basketball Checklist Overview
2021 Finest Basketball isn’t a big set. Just 60 cards make up the base set. Things kick off with Orlando point guard Cole Anthony. But after him, it’s virtually all players from the past with a heavy emphasis on the 1990s.
Allen Iverson, Kevin Garnett, Anfernee Hardaway, Dennis Rodman, Shaquille O’Neal, Steve Nash, Vince Carter and Shawn Kemp are among those in the base set.
This isn’t an NBA-licensed product. Topps focuses on picturing players in street clothes and suits instead of generic uniforms.
Autographs have a lot of overlap with 55 different signers.
Base cards have 14 levels of Refractors. All but the standard ones, which are 1:6 packs, are serial numbered. The autograph rainbow is smaller with seven colors.
Hints of Finest’s hoops return were out there. Last July, Kenny Anderson was signing cards in a coffee shop. A short while later, Detlef Schrempf was signing cards, too.

Now it appears we know what they were for.
Topps 582 Montgomery Club members get the first chance at boxes with a pre-sale on April 26. Boxes were $129.99 each with a limit of two per member. Things opened up for the general public the following day.

I have a medium sized box of Baseball Football Hockey etc cards. The majority are unopened and sealed. Some seem to have been Graded and priced, but i don’t understand anything about the cards. I don’t want to open any of the sealed cards because it may depreciate them. How do I find out what I have and if they’re worth anything.Thank you
@Leticia – Fastest route would be to take them to a card shop. They will know what, if anything, would carry notable value.
