2023 Topps Chrome Lids Baseball Checklist and Details
Once upon a time, baseball cards were a bonus for buying bubble gum. Go back even further and it was tobacco. The only way to get 2023 Topps Chrome Lids Baseball cards (outside of the secondary market) is to buy a cap.
The promo set, which is done through a partnership with Topps, Lids and Mitchell & Ness features 50 cards. It takes a Topps Archives sort of approach, using designs from seven flagship sets: 1952, 1964, 1979, 1983, 1993, 2008, and 2023.
A handful of levels of Refractor parallels are available including one-of-one Superfractors.
Twenty players have autographs on the checklist as well.
To get one of the packs, collectors must purchase a special Topps Chrome-inspired Mitchell & Ness cap from either a Lids store or their website starting on October 6. More than 60 different caps make up the collection. They’re inspired by the 1990s, the decade in which Topps Chrome debuted, and the colorful rainbows the brand has helped spawn.
In addition to the exclusive pack of cards, caps also come with a Topps pin.
According to Topps, over 97,000 packs were produced for the promotion.
