2024 Saturday Morning Cards Steamboat Willie Checklist and Details
A set of trading cards honoring 1928’s classic short “Steamboat Willie” will debut this month from new independent card company Saturday Morning Cards, LLC.
Cards have art inspired by Mickey Mouse’s debut, which recently entered into the public domain. While there’s one basic card, it has six levels of additional numbered versions.
Single-card boxes cost $42 on the SMC website.
The “Steamboat Willie” set features chromium technology and marks SMC’s entrance into the trading card field. According to an SMC release, “Saturday Morning Cards is a brand that aims to capture the nostalgia of the good old days when Saturday mornings were filled with watching cartoons, playing with toys and video games and just being a kid.”
SMC says their products would focus on retro properties combined with modern designs.
