2022 Topps Chrome McDonald’s All American Basketball takes collectors into the world hoops prospecting, this time at the high school level. Besides continuing to bring back the brand to basketball like it did with Overtime Elite, there’s some history here as well. Topps produced multiple McDonald’s All American sets between 2006 and 2008. Here, it’s an updated format, making it a full release with things like inserts and parallels. Autographs are included, too, landing at a rate of two per hobby box.

2022 Topps Chrome McDonald’s All American Basketball Checklist Overview

The 100-card base set has key players from the East and West teams at both the men’s and women’s levels. The showcase is a place for top high school standouts to come together and play against each other. Michael Jordan, Magic Johnson, LeBron James, Candace Parker and Kobe Bryant are just some of the big-name alumni.

This might not be the most mainstream Topps Chrome release but it still has a full slate of parallels:

Autographs and Inserts

Most of the signatures in 2022 Topps Chrome McDonald’s All American Basketball are found in Chrome Autographs. Essentially, these use the same design as the base set only with sticker signatures included.

Additional Aqua Refractors (/99), Yellow Refractors (/75), Gold Wave Refractors (/50), Orange Basketball Refractors (/25, hobby-only), Red Refractors (/5), Printing Plates (1/1) and Superfractors (1/1) are also available.

Gameday Autographs, which were part of the original Topps McDonald’s All American run, are also on the checklist. These include on-card signatures.

Also reaching into the past, albeit more directly, are 2006 Topps McDonald’s All American inserts. These take the original design and apply it to current participants. These are the most common standard inserts, landing 1:3 packs.

Future Stars (1:6 packs) and Hoopers (1:18 packs) are among the other inserts.

All three of these also have the same mix of Gold Refractors (/50), hobby-exclusive Orange Basketball Refractors (/25), Red Refractors (/5), Printing Plates (1/1) and Superfractors (1/1).

Red ‘n’ Gold Vibrations round things out. These are extremely tough with just 10 copies each and no parallels.
