Beckett “Baseball Returns” Auction Closes Sunday
By Derek Ficken | Beckett Media and Beckett Auction Services
Beckett Auctions’ current “Baseball Returns” auction is in its final few days before it closes for good, but there is still time to bid on some unique items such as several are uncut sheets of sets like Score Football and Kelloggs 3-D cards from the 1970s. The showcased item this month has been the Andy Warhol limited 3-D Lenticular Photograph, named ‘Daisy,’ a photo of which there are believed to be fewer than 100 copies in existence. This piece along with the uncut sheets and many more have been put into a historic find, named the Benanti Collection. Truly one-of-a-kind pieces have been discovered and many are showcased this month as well as future auctions down the road. This current auction ends Sunday, April 19th at 9pm CST, with a 15-minute extended bidding window on certain items.
Among the other highlights are some game-used memorabilia from the Texas Rangers, including lineup cards, jerseys, baseballs and bases. The Texas T-Card Find is also back with some extremely rare T206 cards that have been placed in this month’s auction.
For non-baseball collectors, there are plenty of items that are unique, interesting and for all price ranges. Numerous graded cards from all sports, autographed basketball jerseys with even a Seattle Supersonics jersey signed by Kevin Durant, and plenty of cut signatures are all up for bids and some are going for prices lower than on other auction sites.
