Welcome to another installment of Beckett Sports Card Hot/Cold where we take quick and fun look at what’s and what’s not in the worlds of sports and sports cards.

It may be the season of Madness, but college hoops isn’t the only thing grabbing our sporting attention. The NBA and NHL are entering the playoff push. Baseball is officially here (even if it’s on a break already). Before you know it, the NFL Draft will make more hobby implications.

The trio of Victor Wembanyama Caitlin Clark and Connor Bedard continue to be big-time product drivers in basketball and hockey.

In baseball, after a big spring training, Wyatt Langford made the Opening Day roster of the Texas Rangers — the team that happens to be the reigning World Series champs. There’s no word yet on when his first RC cards will appear in packs, but it should be in 2024 products at some point.

Washington’s James Wood is another prospect who had a strong spring. While he didn’t make the Nationals’ roster, it’s looking like it won’t be long. In the meantime, his cards have gained some steam.
