Cheap Wax Wednesday Box Breaks: 2006 Score Football
2006 Score Football features a 440-card base checklist. Though, the base checklist actually has 517 total cards for those who want to go all-in. Why? 77 cards in the checklist have two different variations. For example, card #111. Peyton Manning has two different versions, one with him wearing a Colts jersey and the other pictures him in his Pro Bowl jersey. With this being Score, there are a ton of rookies on the checklist as well. One hundred forty-three to be exact. Though this was a heralded rookie class at the time with Matt Leinert, Vince Young, and Reggie Bush, only one has made the Hall of Fame. That would be Devin Hester.
In addition to the Glossy parallel, there are a handful of numbered parallels to chase down, including Scorecard (/750), Gold (/600), Red (/120), Artist’s Proofs (/32) and Black Parallels (/6). There are autographs as well, though they are tough pulls. The autograph checklist is 134 players long, and includes Jake Plummer, Ty Law, Wes Welker, Frank Gore, as well as rookies Leinert, Young, Bush and Hester.
