Panini confirms short-print autos in 2011-12 Hoops
By Chris Olds | Beckett Basketball Editor
If you’ve had a tough time finding certain autographs from 2011-12 Hoops, there might be a reason.
Many of the signed cards are very short-printed.
Panini America confirmed on Tuesday that 131 of the cards in the 174-card set are shorter than the others and that 48 of those are limited to 25 — or fewer — copies. In all, the group carries a value of more than $6,800, according to the Beckett.com database. (Need an OPG or checklist? Click here.)
Interestingly, Oklahoma City Thunder star James Harden has just one copy of his autograph made, meaning just one person might be able to complete a set.

Having only one James Harden autograph is just plain mean. There goes a lot of collectors plans of trying to put together this set. It will be interesting to see whether the card ends up in the hands of a Harden collector or a set collector. Definitely would be a fun auction to watch, if it comes up.
… if it wasn’t already sold for like $8.
And I also heard the rookies were so severely short-printed that they weren’t even in the set …
If 131 of the 178 cards in the set were short-printed, than are there really any “short-prints?”
The crew hasn’t decided yet, I don’t think, but we’re considering tagging only those 25 or less as SPs.
This set was fun starting but now I think I am getting away from the set, Everything I am winning in auctions are coming from overseas
i have the #131 beno udrih, why does beckett say its worth $70? And does anyone want to buy it?
