Panini creates online promo for hockey collectors
By Susan Lulgjuraj | Beckett Hockey Editor
Panini America has put together an online promotion for hockey fans just in time for the start of the Stanley Cup Finals.
The card company is giving away limited edition Private Signings, autographed memorabilia cards of rookie and diamond-studded autograph cards with selected purchases from its online store.
Customers who buy $100 worth of select NHL products (limited to 2012-13 Classics Signatures Hockey, 2012-13 Certified Hockey and 2012-13 Limited Hockey) will receive one 2013 NHL Stanley Cup Finals Promo Pack. Multiple purchases are allowed, so the more boxes you pick up, the more promo packs you get.
Players on the checklist include some all-time greats including Patrick Roy, Mark Messier, Steve Yzerman and Phil Esposito as well as fan favorites such as Ron Hextall, Brian Leech and Tyler Seguin. The rookies represented include Jaden Schwartz, Sven Baertschi and Chris Kreider.
Panini has done similar promotions for the Super Bowl and the 2013 NBA Finals. Both times supplies ran out quickly.
