Preview Gallery: 2014 National Treasures baseball
By Chris Olds | Beckett Baseball Editor
A hobby heavyweight returns to the baseball field this week with the arrival of 2014 National Treasures from Panini America.
While checklist-level details are not yet available to get an idea of the typical breaks, the company has been teasing the notable inclusions of the brand’s sophomore release in baseball for a few weeks. We’ve seen everything from bat knobs and autographs from current Rookie of the Year Jose Abreu to patches and signatures of past greats among the inclusions. Want Barry Bonds’ first certified autographs in several years? They’re in there. Want the first deluxe game-used cards of some legendary names?
They’re in there — and it arrives Tuesday.
See a massive sampling of behind-the-scenes images from Panini after the jump.
We’ll have more on this one when it becomes available. Want to see even more? Click here.

With no checklist on a 450 dollar product… I had 10 cases ordered… I just got my order to 3 cases
thanks panini
It’s so much better when these athletes only have a handful of autos to sign because they actually take the time to put something great on card. But it also begs the question if they have such good signed autos on high-end stuff then why do they let so many cheap lazy signatures on their lower end stuff. It’s nice to see atleast baseball players care about so kid actually being able to read their signatures. I can’t say that for football players. Quality of a signature should be part of quality control and not quantity control. Numbering all auto should be a must in todays hobby TOPPS.
These are some of the nicest cards I’ve seen in a while. Wish a box/pack price was a little more in most collectors price range, but still a top of the line product from Topps.
I love the look of these cards. I think they look great. Panini is an awesome company but i have to say without the team logos it kills it for me. I wish they could get a full mlb license.
i wish i was rich, love it
I like the card’s look but it’s very sad as a collector to see some of these ever rarer museum pieces being butchered into thousands of little pieces to be used. What collector would be happy seeing a Babe Ruth, Ted Williams, Micky Mantle, or Joe Dimaggio anything be torn to pieces. I rather they keep it intact and add a redemption for the pieces in the product. But I guess GREED IS GOOD GREED WORKS is the slogan for those CEOs that don’t even collect themselves.
Don’t worry Mike…since it is Panini the pieces are probably not authentic anyway..I don’t touch the stuff because without the logos and an official MLB sanctioned product..I have no use for Panini baseball
