Pull-out autographed jersey cards among most popular in 2012 Panini Gridiron
By Susan Lulgjuraj | Beckett Football Editor
Panini America’s 2012 Gridiron Football came out this week with a slightly tweaked name and some impressive photos on the base cards.
Some of the most popular cards from the set, however, have barely anything to do with photos.
The pull out signed jersey cards, Gridiron Gems, are garnering some of the most interest from card collectors.
Swatches of white jerseys are signed in either gold or silver ink. The jersey slides in and out of the card.
Update: The cards do not come all the way out of the card. It seems glued to piece of cardboard and can only be pulled up with a few centimeters remaining in the card before the design stops collectors pulling the card completely out of the housing.
In the meantime, here are some auction links to see what the cards look like and just how much they are going for right now.
