In a preemptive strike, last night I moved all Adrian Beltre cards into my Cooperstown boxes.

Was tempted to do the same for Mauer as he continues to get strong support from voters. What a pleasant surprise!

There's still time for things to change, but it looks like Mauer has a better chance to make it this year than I thought.

I thought he'd up with roughly 70%, but with a little over 40% of the ballots in he's holding strong at 84% and Helton's right behind him at 83%. They both could hold that, I think.

Not sure Billy Wagner will maintain his 80% or Sheffield his 75% but it could be a big class this year.

Joe Mauer shold have one additional vote. Unfortunately, Gammons is in severe decline.
